Using a Mono cable to sample should normalize to both left and right when monitoring output.

In the manual it states “use a mono or stereo cable”, but, currently, when sampling modular into the tracker, using a mono patch cable, i can only hear the left side when monitoring the output.Įxample: Sampling an oscillator to make kick drums does not require a stereo signal. Added to the issues on Git, in regards to Sampling: I'd say if you're interested in it, it's a pretty safe bet at this point, or in the near future (if you prefer a non-beta firmware). It's only going to continue improving too. The Tracker is amazing, even with some of the issues it has, and with the latest beta release, it appears most are either resolved, or at least heavily mitigated. I may end up with another one some day though, because I'm a tracker user on the inside! That said, I don't currently have any Elektron boxes either for similar reasons.
I sold mine recently, because I'm doing something a bit different musically, and it wasn't getting the kind of use I would have intended originally. I actually love Elektron products, and also absolutely adore the Tracker. So I'm really grateful for all of the details in threads like this! I don't have the patience to deal with that frustration at this point. I have been eyeing it as a possibly companion to some Elektron boxes, since it has a song mode, but I cannot bring myself to bite the bullet until these drift / rendering issues are dealt with. Plus, I think since it's sort of a competing product in a way, people have ~feelings~ about it. Haha, well, Elektronauts are special people.
